MedTech Europe is the European trade association representing the medical technology industries, from diagnosis to cure.

The Conference Vetting System (CVS)
CVS is a centralised decision-making system that encourages transparency and consistency in medical education events. it is an independently managed system which reviews the compliance of third-party educational events with MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice and Mecomed Code of Business Practice to determine the appropriateness for companies which are members of MedTech Europe and Mecomed to provide financial support to medical education events.

Third Party Procedure Training (TPPT)
MedTech Europe members may provide direct sponsorship to Healthcare Professionals for IRCAD courses classified by Medtech Europe as a Third-Party Procedure Training.

Applications have been made to the UEMS EACCME® for CME accreditation of IRCAD events.
The European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) is an Institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists.

EACCME Credits convertible into AMA PRA category 1 Credits™

Surgeons interested in getting AMA PRA category 1 Credits™ credits may contact info@eits.fr.
EACCME approved credits for e-learning activities are recognized by the American Medical Association for conversion to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians may apply to convert EACCME credits into AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ by submitting the following form and attaching an EACCME credit certificate, and processing fee. Please click here to download application form for EACCME credit conversion into AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
Processing fees directly payable to the American Medical Association are as follows: AMA member $30 and non-AMA member $75 (see information stated in application form).

As a rule, the conversion to AMA category 1 credit(s)™ is 1:1 for all EACCME credit(s).

Instructions for converting EACCME Credit to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™

To apply for conversion of EACCME credit to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™:
  1. Visit the EACCME website to ensure the activity was certified for EACCME credit
  2. Download the Application for EACCME Credit Conversion, and submit:
    • the completed application by fax or mail
    • a copy of the EACCME credit certificate
    • non-refundable processing fee.
A certificate awarding AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ will be emailed within four weeks.

  • The accreditation is in compliance with EBU/UEMS regulations - 1 credit per hour, with a maximum of 6 credits per day and a maximum of 18 credits for the whole event.
